Cultivating STEM talent by empowering Makers

Katapult Makerspace is a workspace in downtown Dillsburg, PA. A Makerspace is a community workspace with high-tech machines for builders, tinkerers, coders, and creatives. Owned and operated by Katapult Engineering, a leading OSP engineering firm since 1991, Katapult Makerspace is on a mission to cultivate STEM talent in Central PA. Our building, once an old library, is now 7,000 square feet of tools and machines for our Maker community. We also had a desire to share our Makerspace with the world, so we started Makebox, a monthly subscription box, to bring our Makerspace right to your home.

In 2016, Katapult Engineering purchased the old Dillsburg library with the vision of starting a Makerspace. As a leading OSP engineering firm since 1991, Katapult Engineering has a desire to help improve the level of STEM talent in Central PA. In today's job market, there is a massive shortage of workers with STEM skills (science, technology, engineering, and math), and the number of STEM jobs is increasing rapidly as technology advances. To address this need, we started Katapult Makerspace to cultivate a community of Makers, educators, and innovators.
